Collins Square Styling Series – Wardrobe Essentials

With around 260 work days in the year, your work wardrobe is pretty important. Fortunately, you don’t have to have an enormous work wardrobe to have great office style. In fact, all you need are a few key essential pieces to make a range of simple and stylish outfits.
Here are four essentials that every functional wardrobe must have to take the effort out of an effortless look:
1. Long Sleeve Tops and Turtlenecks
It’s hard to go past the versatility of a classic long sleeve or turtleneck. Fashionable, chic and timeless, they’re perfect on their own or can be layered on colder days.
2.Bodysuits
Bodysuits are amazing for both practical and fashion reasons. Staying tucked in, avoid material bunching and prominent seam lines in weird places. And yes, most bodysuits unbutton at the bottom for easy bathroom access.
3. Matching Sets
Matching sets are the fashion world’s version of a cheat code. Wear both pieces together for a coordinated look, or mix the pieces up with basics in your wardrobe to create several different outfits. They are simply effortless, so save them for the days where you’re running late.
4. Sneakers
We are absolutely loving sneakers with suits right now, but there’s a difference between a polished office look and looking like you’re hitting the pub on a Friday afternoon. If you’re wearing suit pants, crop the bottoms to keep them neat and tidy. For those wearing heels, simply swap them out for a clean white sneaker. Voila!
