A Year of Giving
Date: 22nd Nov 2024
This past year saw our Collins Square community unite as one and, as always, show their unwavering support for causes close to not only ours but many hearts.
This year, we proudly recognised ANZAC Day, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Pride Month, Daffodil Day, Remembrance Day, and Movember, and supported the Property Industry Foundation. Proving the power of collective action to foster positive change, we raised over $49,000 together.
With a long-held tradition of honouring those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, a combined total of $13,333 was raised through pin sales and donations made to the ANZAC Appeal and the Remembrance Poppy Appeal, which support Australian veterans and their families.
Supporting Cancer Council in raising funds for vital cancer research, a combined total of $17,509 was raised from hosting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and Daffodil Day.
As part of a month-long celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, in a silent bid on incredible artwork by Wayde Wiradjuri, an Aboriginal queer artist, $1,101 was donated to Minus18 Foundation. An Australian charity supporting initiatives for LGBTQIA+ youth in Australia.
Joining the global mo movement, Movember, to raise awareness in men’s health including mental wellbeing and suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer, efforts raised over $12,000 to date, in support.
Lastly, our weekly floral auctions have raised over $5,200 to support the Property Industry Foundation in building homes for homeless youth.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported these causes this year. Whether it be a donation or volunteering time, every gesture of kindness, big or small, is invaluable. We look forward to continue making a positive impact with you in 2025.
